About me:
I’ve been working in student enterprise for the past 4 years having supported future founders at the University of Bristol and recently joined the Student Ventures team at UWE. My background in arts and performance fed my interest in entrepreneurship- as I see devising a show and rehearsals part of the prototyping, and performance a way of pitching to an audience.
My motivation comes from a want to support students see potential realised and the impact- no matter how big or small — they can make in the world around them. I’m proud to be a UWE alumnus and I look forward to supporting the next generation of change makers and student entrepreneurs.
What did I want to be when I grew up?
A teacher, actress, private investigator, zoologist, a Spice Girl…
Essentially, I’ve always been a big dreamer wanting to do everything all at once! I think that’s part of the reason I found myself working within Careers and Enterprise, surrounding myself and working creatively with passionate innovative individuals on a variety of ideas.
Favourite song to keep me motivated?
Too many to choose from but Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! by ABBA or Good Morning — Kanye West are a couple favourites.
3 Things I’d take on a desert Island?
Suncream and a sunhat- boring but a necessity for my freckly skin! That and a big bag of Lays.
An unexpected fact about me?
I have double jointed elbows.
Spirit Animal?
A Golden Retriever.
Come and speak to me about?
Public speaking and presenting, enterprise and intrapreneurial skills, networking and relationship management, social media management and for some encouragement to get started!
